Google is down and that means services like Gmail are not working. Thankfully, there are some workarounds to help users access their emails.
To fix Gmail “Your account is temporarily unavailable” error, users must wait for an official fix to be rolled out by Google. A permanent fix will come from the Google developers.
In the meantime, temporary fixes include:
- Using another desktop PC device.
- If Gmail is already open on another PC system, emails should still be viewable. Check to see if a Gmail tab is still open in the browser.
- Use a mobile device.
- If Gmail is already open on another device, emails should still be viewable. Mobile devices open keep apps open in the background, so try opening Gmail.
Google being down across the majority of its services is unusual. At the time of writing, it appears that some services are beginning to work again, so hopefully stability will continue to improve in the next hour or so!
