Cyberpunk 2077 on iOS - How to play on iPhone and iPad

Can I get Cyberpunk 2077 on iOS | How to play on iPhone and iPad

The future in Cyberpunk 2077 is one where humans and technology are inextricably linked. The same is sort of true here in the real world, too, largely thanks to the advent of mobile technology. Because of these game-changing devices, it’s now possible to play Cyberpunk 2077 on iOS. Streaming services like Google Stadia and GeForce Now can run the game on the iPhone as well as the iPad. Here’s what you need to get it all set up.

How to play Cyberpunk 2077 on iOS, iPhone, and iPad

How to play Cyberpunk 2077 on iOS, iPhone, and iPad

You can play Cyberpunk 2077 on iOS devices by taking advantage of game streaming services. Both Google Stadia and GeForce Now will allow you to play Cyberpunk 2077 on the iPhone or iPad. Aside from buying the game, the only catch is that you’ll have to sign up for either service.

Of course, Cyberpunk 2077 is not natively supported on iOS. It’s almost too big a game to run on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One properly, so a true mobile port is out of the question. Thankfully, game streaming gets around the need to run the software on the client device. Instead, all the processing is handled in the cloud, with the final rendering being sent to anything from a PC to a mobile phone.

Play Cyberpunk 2077 with Google Stadia

When it come to streaming Cyberpunk 2077, Google Stadia is the platform of choice. As long as you buy the game from Google, you can play it through the Stadia app on iOS. This works for both iPhone and iPad. MacBook users can also enjoy Stadia supported games on MacOS.

Going this route also lets you play on any other Stadia-supported device, including the Chromecast, which was notably included in the Cyberpunk 2077 Google Stadia bundle. Otherwise, it will run in essentially any supported Chrome web browser.

Best of all, you won’t need to pay any additional fees. The free tier of Google Stadia can run the game at up to 1080p and 60 frames per second. Users who opt for the $10/month premium tier will be able to enjoy 4K and 5.1 surround sound support, though they won’t really need those features on an iPhone or iPad.

Play with GeForce Now

Stadia isn’t the only streaming choice: Cyberpunk 2077 is also available through GeForce Now. Though there’s no native iOS app for GeForce Now yet, the service’s beta client does work in Safari on iPhone and iPad. This means it’s technically playable on-the-go, though there are a few limitations.

Mainly, since it’s still in beta, Safari gameplay may not work exactly as intended. There are a few other catches, too: The free tier of GeForce Now is limited to one-hour playing sessions, and includes no support for RTX graphics. GeForce Now Founders can play for six hours per session with RTX enabled, but they’ll have to pay a $5 per month fee. Beyond that, GeForce Now is still limited to just 1080p and 60 fps visuals.

Either way, you’ve got options if you want to play Cyberpunk 2077 on iOS. The iPhone and iPad can both run streaming versions of the game from either GeForce Now or Google Stadia. The only real question is how much you want to pay, and where else you may choose to play.
