The Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods Part 2 Escalation Encounter locations are for completionists and sadists as they pretty difficult yet integral to getting every skin in the game. But despite not being called “Secret Encounters” anymore, they’re hidden away and must be completed twice to get everything they have to offer (so don’t forget to press the melee button on them again after the first round). How to find the World Spear Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 2 Escalation Encounter
World Spear Escalation Encounter #1
The first Sentinel Hammer upgrade is in the World Spear level, which is the first level. After riding the dragon, the game will eventually funnel players through a narrow room with explosive barrels. Enemies pour in from both sides.
After that, do some light platforming. Jump across the pit with the flames shooting out of the walls.
The Escalation Encounter demon blob will be on the other side. Walk up to it and press the melee button to start the challenge. The hammer upgrade will unlock once every demon is dead.
This upgrade will make enemies hit by the hammer drop more ammo. Go up to the blob and melee it again for the second challenge, which unlocks the blue World Spear Slayer skin.
How to find the Earth Reclaimed Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 2 Escalation Encounter
Earth Reclaimed Escalation Encounter #1
The second Sentinel Hammer upgrade is in the second level, Earth Reclaimed. Progress through the level like normal. Eventually, the game will have players punch a subway train car.
Use the shotgun grapple points to swing around and then jump to a tipped bus and then to a wall grate the Slayer can climb on.
Go into that next building, walk forward a few steps, and the look left.
The Escalation Encounter is in there. Beating the first wave makes enemies hit by the hammer drop more armor if on fire and health if they are frozen. Beating the second wave unlocks the red Survivor skin for the Slayer.

The third and final Sentinel Hammer upgrade is very easy to find as it is right in front of the player in one of the early parts of the level. There will be the above gap after some of the tentacles pop out of the ground just after the Revenant. Jump across the gap and punch the last one to start the final Escalation Encounter.
Getting through this Escalation Encounter gives the hammer the power to stun enemies for longer when struck. This is very valuable against the final boss. The second wave unlocks the red Hellforged Slayer skin.
