Monster Hunter World Light Crystal Location

Monster Hunter Rise Light Crystal Locations: Where to mine Light Crystal

Finding Light Crystal in Monster Hunter Rise is essential to upgrade many early-mid game weapons. It’s a rarer material (much more so than Sleep Herbs), which means players might have to mine the resource nodes that have the potential to drop it multiple times before they get a single crystal. Additionally, Light Crystal can only be found in one location in the game, which can make it tedious to farm for it.

Monster Hunter Rise Flooded Forest Light Crystal Farming Route

Light Crystal can only be found in the Flooded Forest. The easiest way to farm it is to mine the resource nodes scattered throughout the level. Since it’s an uncommon drop, players are more likely to get a Light Crystal from the white mining outcrops than the blue ones, but it can be dropped from any of them in the Flooded Forest.

The best farming route for Light Crystals is to head to the Flooded Forest and go through the following areas:

  • 1
  • 8
  • 4
  • 9
  • 11
  • 10

There are mining outcrops scattered through this route and by the time players hit area 10, they can loop right back around to 1 and start over.

Mining outcrops take four minutes before players can use them again, but a few things can be done to improve the drop rates. The first is to eat Raisin d’etre Bunndy Dango to get the Dango Harvester effect which reduces the wait time between harvests.

The Geologist skill is also beneficial when trying to farm Light Crystal in Monster Hunter Rise. If players can raise the effect to Level 3, then mining outcrops can be harvested twice between resets. This alone essentially doubles a player’s chances of getting one.

A rarer opportunity to get a Light Crystal comes also presents itself in the Flooded Forest. Boulder Lizards are endemic life that drop rare crafting items that can typically be obtained from mining outcrops. Players can find one of these between areas 10 and 13, which is highly likely to drop a Light Crystal. However, this isn’t as repeatable as simply mining outcrops.
