Monster Hunter Rise launched on Nintendo Switch in 2021, PC in 2022, and PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in January 2023. However, Playstation and Xbox owners are still waiting on the Sunbreak expansion to release on their consoles.
When is the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion DLC coming out on PS5 and PS4?
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s release date was revealed to be Spring 2023 back in December, but we have heard no news since then. The expansion won’t be available until post-game, so if you’re still working through the main game’s story, there’s no need to rush.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunrise adds new monsters to defeat and lands to explore. Beyond the major additions, there are plenty of smaller things to encounter, like armor sets, companions, and creatures. While there are no major changes in the expansion, many players will be happy to see more depth added to their Monster Hunter Rise experience.
The delay on the Sunbreak expansion is probably there to give players plenty of time to complete the main game before they dive into the DLC.
