Scavengers is a free-to-play multiplayer shooter from Halo and Battlefield alumni. That’s an easy sales pitch, though the game is currently in Early Access and only playable on PC to those that get Steam keys via Twitch Drops. So, when is Scavengers’ full release date? Here’s the latest on when this PvEvP survival title will launch out of Early Access on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
When does Scavengers fully launch out of Early Access?
Scavengers’ Early Access PC launch took place on April 28, 2021. The full Scavengers release date is late 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
The game’s developer, Midwinter Entertainment, states that it’ll be “a few months at least” before Scavengers leaves Early Access. Despite this, the dev team still aims to officially launch “before the end of 2021.” This most likely signals that the final Scavengers launch date will be Q4 this year.
Scavengers is a unique “co-opetition” title with some hefty talent behind it. Players must survive a freezing wasteland while teaming up with online players to battle both A.I. and human-controlled opposition. Things have been quiet on the Scavengers front for a while now, though players may still remember it appearing at the 2018 Game Awards.
Unique multiplayer experiences have been thriving recently, so hopefully, Scavengers’ PvEvP twist on the survival genre will see it do well. Since the game is free on PC and consoles, arguably the biggest barrier to entry has already been nixed. With no asking price, there’s nothing to lose by taking Scavengers for a spin.
Speaking of unique online games, First Class Trouble is like a better version of Among Us. Find out why in the GameRevolution preview.
Hood: Outlaws and Legends is also bringing the world of Robin Hood into the multiplayer gaming space. The devs seem determined to make it work, as there’s already an extensive post-launch content roadmap.
