Mass Effect Legendary Edition: How to leave the Citadel

Soon after starting Mass Effect Legendary Edition, players will reach the sprawling Citadel location. The impressive space station is like a floating city, providing users with many areas to explore. It’s so big, in fact, that some people lose their way and wonder how to get back to the ship in Mass Effect. If that sounds familiar, here’s how to leave the Citadel in ME1 via the Normandy spaceship.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition how to leave the Citadel

Here’s how to leave the Citadel in the Mass Effect Legendary Edition ME1 remaster:

  1. Travel to the Wards area of the Citadel
  2. Enter the C-Sec Academy, then take the elevator to the Docking Bay
  3. Board the Normandy and leave via the Galaxy Map

On the first visit to the Citadel, users must meet with the Council in the Presidium’s Citadel Tower. Afterward, the Wards area opens up and C-Sec becomes accessible. Players need to progress the “Citadel: Expose Saren” quest until the objective reads “Speak to the Ambassador” in order to leave on the Normandy, however.

During repeat visits, simply access a Citadel Rapid Transit terminal to cut down on travel time. After interacting with a terminal, select Wards > C-Sec to instantly travel to the C-Sec Academy and access the Docking Bay lift. Although it might seem intimidating at first, after spending some time on the Citadel most users get to know it like the back of their hand.

After setting off in Commander Shepard’s Normandy spaceship, users are able to visit uncharted worlds. Players make use of a vehicle called the Mako to traverse them, though, regrettably, it comes with an annoying combat bug. Fortunately, there’s a simple fix to bookmark in case it crops up. Knowing how to counteract the interaction bug is helpful, too.
