Death's Door New Game Plus

Is there a Death’s Door New Game Plus mode?

Is there a Death’s Door New Game Plus mode for after players finish the game, so they can return and replay the story with all the health boosts, combat upgrades, and various weapons they picked up in their main playthrough? It may not be a roguelike, but are there further Death’s Door difficulty modes after completing the game? Can Death’s Door be played after the ending? Is there any Death’s Door end game content for fans to play instead? Let’s see.

Does Death’s Door have New Game Plus?

Death's Door New Game Plus

Death’s Door does not have a New Game Plus mode, nor does it have any different difficulty modes to play on after beating the main game. However, this doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do after beating the final boss and seeing the game’s ending.

There are many shrines, upgrades, extra weapons, and other optional content in Death’s Door that players may have missed the first time around. Most importantly, developer Acid Nerve has allowed players to continue Death’s Door after beating the ending, so it is possible to 100% the game on a single playthrough. While doing a straight story run will take most players around six hours, depending on how challenging they find it, a full completionist playthrough can take more than twice that.

There is also endgame content to beat, too. After completing the game, head to the main upgrade area in the Reaping Commission and pick up the key there. Head to the Lost Cemetery — remember the locked Bell Tower next to the entrance to the Urn Witch Estate? Use the key here, head up, and the tower will reveal multiple ghosts around the Lost Cemetery. Escort all six ghosts to statues with locks in their faces, and it will open the south section of the map and give the player the Ancient Tablet of Knowledge — and access to the endgame content.
