Back 4 Blood single player

Is there a Back 4 Blood single-player mode?

Back 4 Blood is a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, from the developers behind the original installment. But, does B4B have a solo story mode campaign? L4D is pretty unforgiving for lone wolves, so many want to know how Turtle Rock Studios’ latest effort compares. Here’s the need-to-know info on a Back 4 Blood single-player mode for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Does Back 4 Blood have single-player?

Back 4 Blood single player

Back 4 Blood is playable in single-player mode. The B4B story campaign is entirely playable solo, though, like Left 4 Dead, players are always accompanied by three A.I. teammates.

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to play as just one solitary survivor. This is due to the game’s core design, which necessitates close cooperation. Many of the special infected (“Ridden”) are capable of helplessly entrapping players — in these situations, an ally must rescue the user from certain death. As a result, playing Back 4 Blood alone would be a pretty miserable experience for all but the very best players.

B4B features cross-play support and integrated matchmaking. It’ll also be available via Xbox Game Pass at launch, so finding other people to play with shouldn’t be a problem. That said, online co-op just isn’t for some people. Should that be the case, bots will have to suffice for solo survivors still set on playing the Back 4 Blood single-player mode.

Elsewhere in gaming, Niantic is angering Pokemon Go players. There’s a petition circulating that demands the reintroduction of pandemic safety measures. In further action over the controversial changes, players are organizing a unified boycott of the mobile game. Creatively, the boycott is operating under the name “Pokemon No Day.”
