- Speak with Kira during the Data Miner main mission.
- If the objective doesn’t progress, walk around the perimeter of the area shooting out of bounds.
- Should this draw out any off-screen enemies, kill them to progress.
- No luck? Unfortunately, console players need to start a new character or wait for a patch.
- PC players can try the following, via u/johnathan-piper on Reddit.
- Make a backup of the “SaveProfiles.sav” game file at %APPDATA%..LocalTheAscentSavedSaveGames.
- Download and install a free hex editor.
- Within the hex editor, go to File > Open > SaveProfiles.sav.
- Ctrl+F to search for “InProgress,” then click OK.
- This will highlight “EMissionState::InProgress,” which users should change to “EMissionState::Completed” then delete the last “s” character.
- Confirm that it’s okay to change the file size.
- Press Ctrl+S to save the changes.
Other users note that this method works, though there are certain side effects. Players will be able to undertake completed side quests again, plus all areas will appear unexplored on the map. For many, however, this will be far preferable to starting over.
