The Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga and Palkia edition has been revealed as a tie-in with the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl release for this November, based on the similar Nintendo DS Onyx edition that got released alongside the original Pokemon Diamond and Pearl back in 2006. Here’s how to get a Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga and Palkia edition pre-order, how much it will cost, and where to buy it.
What is the Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga and Palkia edition release date?
The release date for the special Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga and Palkia edition is November 5, 2021, a full two weeks before the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl on November 19. The Nintendo Switch Lite Onyx Pokemon tie-in edition has an MSRP of $199.99, the same as a normal Nintendo Switch Lite.
Where can I pre-order Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga and Palkia edition?
At the present time, the Nintendo Switch Lite Dialga and Palkia edition is not available to pre-order in stores or online, but any fans looking to secure this limited-edition Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl version of the Switch should keep an eye on Nintendo’s own store page to find out when pre-orders are available at selected retailers.
This Pokemon version of the Nintendo Switch Lite boasts a metallic gray body with black buttons, with artwork of the Legendary Pokemon Dialga and Palkia in silver and gold on the back of the console. Sadly, this Dialga and Palkia edition does not come with either Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl.
Of course, it’s up to fans to decide whether they want to get this or the new and similar-colored Nintendo Switch OLED edition, which will release the month before. It will be significantly more expensive at $349.99, but the screen will look a lot nicer — even if the battery life isn’t any better, unfortunately.
