How to get through Psychonauts 2 locked doors and mail slots
Raz can go through locked doors, barred areas, and mail slots by using the Projection ability, which is unlocked quite late in Psychonauts 2 during the visit to Cassie O’Pea’s mind.
This occurs after Raz leaves the Motherlobe area following the full repair of Ford Cruller’s mind and the revelations around Maligula are revealed. Follow the trail of honey and psychically grab the steaming kettle to protect Raz from the bees, then head up to meet Cassie and enter her book-themed mind. Proceed through the first area to meet Teacher Cassie, who will show Raz how to project a 2D clone of himself who can open locked doors and slip through bars and mail slots.
Following the completion of the game, players will be able to visit previous areas and use Projection to unlock all the various locked doors Raz may have encountered throughout the game. There’s certainly a lot to do in Psychonauts 2, and it’s surprising how long it can take to unlock extra abilities— such as the Time Bubble power which slows down fast-moving objects.
