More than a decade in the making, No More Heroes 3 is finally out now for Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite. SUDA51’s latest is receiving a good reception so far, which has many gamers wondering if they can play it on alternative platforms. But, are there No More Heroes 3 PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC versions in the works? Here’s the latest on NMH3 ports getting a release date.
Is a No More Heroes 3 PS5 and PS4 release coming out?
There isn’t a No More Heroes 3 PlayStation version for PS5 and PS4 consoles. No More Heroes 3 is available exclusively for Nintendo Switch as of August 27, 2021.
Currently, there are no known plans for Grasshopper Manufacture to launch a No More Heroes 3 PS5 and/or PS4 port. The game is a Switch exclusive, though, since Nintendo doesn’t publish NMH3, it could possibly come to more platforms in the future. The series’ previous entry, Travis Strikes Again, came out on PlayStation 4 so there’s an established audience within the ecosystem.
Is a No More Heroes 3 Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One release coming out?
No More Heroes 3 Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One versions aren’t launching anytime soon. Grasshopper and Marvelous’ No More Heroes 3 is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch following the August 27, 2021 release date.
Should the No More Heroes threequel perform well, there’s a potential for the developer to release additional ports. Presuming that there isn’t an exclusivity deal in place with Nintendo, Grasshopper could opt to announce a No More Heroes 3 Xbox release date in the future. It isn’t clear if such a deal exists, though it is possible that NMH3 on Switch was simply the launch day priority due to this series’ historical connection with Nintendo platforms.
Is a No More Heroes 3 PC release coming out?
There isn’t currently a No More Heroes 3 PC release date. This goes for Steam, the Epic Games Store, Microsoft’s Windows Store, and all alternative PC storefronts. NMH3 is a Nintendo Switch exclusive available now following the August 27, 2021 launch day.
Although there are currently no known porting plans, the franchise is no stranger to the PC platform. Earlier this year the No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle remasters hit PC alongside Nintendo Switch, which could be a good sign.
In other news, Overwatch’s McCree is getting a name change. Following a lengthy delay, Halo Infinite finally has a December release date. Hopefully, that game will be worth the wait — much like Psychonauts 2.
