Has a Squirrel Girl movie release date been confirmed? There’s been a lot of talk about a Squirrel Girl MCU project, but is there a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie for Doreen Green in production? Is Squirrel Girl Milana Vayntrub confirmed as playing her in the movie, or was she only for the canceled New Warriors TV series? Will Squirrel Girl come to Disney Plus, maybe as a show like Loki instead of a movie?
Is there an MCU Squirrel Girl movie release date?
If a Squirrel Girl movie or Disney Plus series happens, it probably won’t appear until 2024 or after — much like with the possible Dark Avengers project. As of right now, nothing has been confirmed about the project, including whether or not a Squirrel Girl movie or show exists.
The reason Squirrel Girl is so hot right now is that the showrunner of the canceled New Warriors TV show, Kevin Biegel, leaked some of the first shots of the first live-action Squirrel Girl/Doreen Green, played by Milana Vayntrub. His posts have since been deleted, but not before fans grabbed them and retweeted them.

Apart from the massive show of support fans have suddenly pushed towards Squirrel Girl and the New Warriors project, Vayntrub herself took to Twitter to suggest fans let Marvel know directly. Squirrel Girl is a fan-favorite Marvel character, so would be a popular fit — if the New Warriors project itself isn’t completely brought back instead, in which case she would probably just appear in that for now.

Marvel has a lot already scheduled for the next few years, including at least one more season of the What If? animated show currently running, which just had its Marvel Zombies episode. The next Spider-Man movie No Way Home is due out in December, which may be building to an appearance of the Sinister Six.
