Is there a Life is Strange: True Colors Xbox Game Pass release right now? The new Life is Strange adventure game is out now from Square Enix, but is it only available as a separate release, or is there a Life is Strange: True Colors Game Pass version for subscribers to try — and if so, is the game available with both the Xbox and PC Game Pass versions? The first two Life is Strange games both appeared on Game Pass, so True Colors should too, right?
Is there a Life is Strange: True Colors Xbox Game Pass release?
Life is Strange: True Colors is not available on Xbox Game Pass.
Hopefully that will change in the near future as both previous Life is Strange games appeared on Game Pass. This includes both the Xbox One/Xbox Series X|S and PC versions of Game Pass, so currently the only way to get Life is Strange: True Colors on today’s release date is by buying the full physical or digital release.
There is reason to hope that Life is Strange: True Colors will end up on Game Pass, as earlier games in the series have appeared on Microsoft’s subscription — despite them no longer being available, as Life is Strange 2 was sadly removed last year and hasn’t yet been restored. If True Colors is going to appear on Game Pass, it will do so at a later date.
The main reason that Life is Strange: True Colors isn’t on Game Pass at launch is that it’s not a Microsoft-published game or an Xbox exclusive. Bethesda’s Starfield, for example, will be available for Xbox Game Pass when that launches next year. Psychonauts 2 has only just been released and it’s the most recent big game to come to Game Pass — in fact, it’s harder to get hold of physical versions of that game.
