Does Deathloop have co-op multiplayer

Does Deathloop have co-op multiplayer?

Multiplayer is one of Deathloop’s prominent features, and players can take the role of Julianna and attempt to foil Cole’s attempts to break the loop. However, players are wondering if there’s a way to play Deathloop multiplayer co-op instead of PVP.

Does Deathloop have a co-op multiplayer mode?

Deathloop co-op multiplayer

While Julianna is framed as the antagonist, she doesn’t necessarily have to be Cole’s adversary, at least not in every loop. Deathloop does have co-op multiplayer if the players choose not to fight.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to communicate with other players in Deathloop. Neither Cole nor Julianna has emotes, so it’s tough for players to communicate non-aggression. So, it’s going to be extremely rare to find a Juliana to partner up with since Cole players have an incentive to shoot first.

So, the only real way to play Deathloop multiplayer co-op is to pre-arrange it with a friend. Once players have done so, it’s surprising how well co-op works.

Julianna can take down Eternalists just as well as Cole can. Friendly-fire isn’t turned off for her, and she can easily carve a path through a level and let Cole waltz right into wherever he needs to go. It seems odd that Arkane Studios didn’t add the feature to play co-op randomly since Eternalists will even react negatively to Julianna if she kills to many of them and turn against her.

It’s possible that a co-op multiplayer queue will be added in the future. It seems like it’d be an easy update, and really all that would need to be added is no friendly fire between Cole and Julianna. Given the NPC reactions, Arkane must have at least thought of her turning against the Eternalists.

We’ll see if additional multiplayer options become available in the future. For now, we’re just hoping they fix the long matchmaking times.
