Guardians of the Galaxy bugs and glitches can be a real problem, with the game suffering from a bunch of audio and visual problems that affect graphics, sound, and can even be game-breaking. Bugs include button prompts remaining on-screen, players getting stuck in certain areas, and even not being able to progress at all. Here’s how to fix these glitches in the GotG game.
How to fix Guardians of the Galaxy bugs and glitches
Most Guardians of the Galaxy bugs and glitches can be resolved by downloading the day one update, so make sure your PC or console is connected to the internet in order to download the patch. If you’ve downloaded the patch and are still experiencing issues, then you’ll need to follow these steps in order to stop the bug or glitch:
- Open the pause menu
- Select ‘Reload Last Checkpoint’
- Return to the previous checkpoint to fix the bug or glitch
Reloading the last checkpoint will rectify the bug, allowing you to progress through the game without being impeded. While it can be frustrating to have to effectively reload the game in order to progress, the time between checkpoints is thankfully kept to a minimum, meaning that you’ll rarely — if ever — lose a great deal of progress. Instead, it’ll take you to the start of the last area you entered, or to the start of the enemy encounter you reloaded.
Guardians of the Galaxy has just launched, so hopefully these teething issues will be resolved as the game receives future updates. The day one patch goes a long way to removing some of the larger problems, though further patches should improve its performance even more.
In other Guardians of the Galaxy news, the game reviewed surprisingly higher than Eternals, with critics preferring Eidos Montreal’s latest over the MCU’s newest addition. You can also check out our thoughts on the game by reading our review.
