Roblox Down for Maintenance: When will it be back up and running?

Roblox is down for maintenance, with the incredibly popular multiplayer game facing an outage as its servers have been taken offline. The outage has lasted for over 24 hours so far, with its fanbase wondering when it will be back up and running as a result. They’re also trying to access the Wayback Machine in order to revert to an older version of the game, in order to continue playing.

When will Roblox be back up and running?

Roblox will be back online when its developers have fixed the server outage issue that the game is currently facing. Taking to Twitter, its creators expressed how they’re working to bringing the game back online and get it back up and running.

Yesterday, the official Roblox account acknowledged users’ problems with logging in, and stated that they are working on a fix for the problem. However, no ETA was given in terms of when the game will be brought back online.

Roblox’s comment on the “specific experiences or partnerships” indirectly references a Chipotle promotion that was happening in the game, with the fast-food chain giving away $1 million worth of free burritos as part of a Halloween campaign. However, according to Roblox, this promotion was not the cause of the impromptu outage.

How to play Roblox with the Wayback Machine

The Wayback Machine allows people to revert to old instances of various websites, and as the game’s official website currently takes visitors to an error page that informs them: “We’re making things more awesome. Be back soon,” users are taking it upon themselves to see if they can load an older version of the game in order to continue to play.

Users have stated they’ve been able to continue to access Roblox by way of going to the Discover section via the Wayback Machine, which you can do right here. However, connectivity appears to be sporadic, so it might be best to just wait for the issue to be resolved before you dive back in.

In other news, Facebook recently revealed that users wouldn’t need to use their accounts in order to access their Oculus accounts. The new Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer also leaked online early.
