Pikmin Bloom Special Nectar

Pikmin Bloom Special Nectar: What does it do and should I buy more?

“What is Pikmin Bloom Special Nectar?” That’s the question that players of the latest AR-based mobile title are asking. In this game, you grow your collection of Pikmin by walking around, harvesting seeds, and receiving gifts from your Pikmin. Special Nectar is a hugely useful resource in Pikmin Bloom, that will greatly help your progress. We’ve got details on what it does and if you should buy more.

What does Pikmin Bloom Special Nectar do?

Pikmin Bloom Special Nectar

Special Nectar is an exclusive item in Pikmin Bloom that boosts your friendship levels. Feeding Special Nectar to an individual Pikmin increases their friendship level by one heart, bypassing the need to grind to increase these stats.

Your Pikmin friendship level can go up to four hearts. As such, the Special Nectar is an incredibly useful resource, as it will instantly take that level up a notch. The only other way to increase your friendship level is to consistently feed them nectar and to complete challenges. These are more time-consuming processes, meaning Special Nectar is a more effective way to do it.

However, Special Nectar is a very hard resource to come across. Generally speaking, you can only unlock consistent amounts of Special Nectar once you reach a high level. From level 40 onwards, you’ll receive one Special Nectar for each level you pass. In a game as new as Pikmin Bloom, you can imagine that it’ll take a long time for most players to reach those levels.

Should I buy more Special Nectar in Pikmin Bloom?

Of course, if you don’t want to wait to level up to get more, you can purchase Special Nectar. It’s currently only available in the in-store Starter Pack, which will set you back $2.50/£1.79. That will grant you four Special Nectar, meaning you can reach the max friendship level with one of your Pikmin. However, it’s a one-off purchase, so you can only do it once. Equally, it costs real-life money – so don’t purchase if it’s beyond your means.
