Diablo 2: Resurrected update 2.3 patch notes: Nvidia DLSS support added

The Diablo 2: Resurrected update 2.3 patch has been released, and it brings some welcome additions to the game. On the visual front, Nvidia DLSS support has been added to the game, which allows players to run the game at a higher resolution without a (major) performance penalty. There are also new difficulty scaling settings for console and active skill bindings for PC in Diablo 2: Resurrected patch 2.3.

Diablo 2: Resurrected updated 2.3 patch DLSS support added

Diablo 2 might not be the most GPU-intensive game ever. However, the DLSS support added in the latest patch will help those with compatible cards push their resolutions higher. DLSS is always a welcome addition to a game, at least for those will Nvidia GPUs.

Offline Difficulty Scaling for consoles

Diablo 2 Resurrected Offline Difficulty Scaling for consoles

PC players have been able to scale difficulty in Diablo 2 since the original game, but the console versions of Resurrected launched without this capability. Fortunately, update 2.3 brings an Offline Difficulty Scaling slider that allows players to increase the amount and strength of enemies to scale as if there were more players present. So, a solo player can take on the story with the difficulty scaled as if there were eight players. This dramatically increases the experience gained and loot drop rates.

Keyboard and Mouse Quick Cast and Active Skill Bindings

One of the significant advantages controller players had over keyboard and mouse users in Diablo 2: Resurrected is that they have instant access to bind any of 12 actions to their active skills. With the new options, those using keyboard and mouse can bind up to 16 skills. Additionally, by activating the Quick Cast Skills option, pressing a bound skill will instantly use it instead of just remapping it to an active skill.
