After a surprisingly uneventful launch, some players are having issues with dev error 10323 in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Unfortunately, like many issues, there’s no helpful text to let players know why they’re getting the error. Additionally, error 10323 seems to be localized to the Xbox Series X version of COD Vanguard. However, there’s always the possibility it might appear on another platform.
How to fix COD Vanguard dev error 10323
Fixing dev error 10323 in Call of Duty: Vanguard isn’t easy because there’s no surefire way to do it. The message gives us nothing to work with, so we have to deduce what the issue is on our own. There are two fixes that we’ve found that worked for multiple players, but there’s no guarantee that they’ll work for everyone:
- Turn off texture streaming and clear reserve space
- Reinstall the game

Turn off texture streaming and clear reserve space
Some players have reported that dev error 10323 was fixed by turning off texture streaming and clearing the reserved space. These options can be adjusted in the settings menu accessed from the main menu under the graphics options.
Reinstall the game
Some players are reporting that the issue was resolved by reinstalling the game. Unfortunately, there’s no info as to what package causes the error, so it’s best to completely uninstall the game before redownloading it.
It seems like dev error 10323 may be caused by an incorrectly installed texture pack specific to the Xbox Series X. There’s no way to tell for sure, and if the above two fixes don’t work players might want to contact Activision support to get some one-on-one assistance in figuring out how to rectify their issues. As stated above, the launch of Vanguard was one of the smoothest we’ve seen for AAA multiplayer games in years. As such, support should be able to reply to tickets quickly.
