The Fortnite 19.20 update and patch notes are now available and it’s set to add some major new elements to the popular battle royale game, one of the biggest since Chapter 3 Season 1 began in December. Headlining the Fortnite 19.20 patch notes is the introduction of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s character The Foundation, who can now be earned in a series of Battle Pass quests. Here’s everything that’s known about the Fortnite patch for today, February 1, 2022.
Fortnite 19.20 Update Patch Notes
The full patch notes are not yet available at the time of writing as Fortnite is still down for maintenance, however, the following fixes are known:
- Fixed an issue where Spiderman’s Web Shooters drop with the maximum amount of uses when eliminating a player with the mythic item.
- An issue with navigating the compete tab where a bug forces you to the far right of tournaments in the list.
- Players respawning in Creative Hub during games.
- Issue with the Charge Shotgun weapon not saving in item spawner.
What’s new in the Fortnite 19.20 update?
The biggest new addition in Fortnite 19.20 is the unlock of The Foundation skin and the quests to earn it as part of the Chapter 3 Season 1 Battle Pass. Dwayne Johnson’s character made a big appearance in the finale of Chapter 2, but similar to Superman players have had to wait a while to have him playable. Him and his various quests and items can now be earned.
Another notable part of the update is a new point of interest on the map, Covert Cavern. This underground location has been leaked for a while but can be seen in action below. The entrance to the new location is located in the mountain area between Camp Cuddle and Logjam Lumberyard on the west side of the map.
There are a lot of new skins and items too, including the Alice in Wonderland-like Queen of Hearts and some new variations on existing Battle Pass characters. At the moment there doesn’t seem to be any more Spider-Man skins although those are rumored to be coming later this month.
