Dying Light 2 Multiplayer Not Working Fix: Can’t Join Player Session

Is there any sort of Dying Light 2 multiplayer not working fix for anyone problems with the co-op? One of the biggest draws of the parkour zombie game is the four-player cross-platform co-op, but players are reporting Dying Light 2 “can’t join player session” and “connection failed” messages when trying it. Is there any sort of fix for Dying Light 2 disconnection or desync errors that leave players unable to join multiplayer sessions?

What is the Dying Light 2 co-op not working fix?

Dying Light 2 Multiplayer Not Working Fix

To fix any multiplayer, co-op, or connection errors with Dying Light 2:

  • Make sure the game is at a point when co-op can actually be joined, specifically, just after the player gets the binoculars.
  • Restart the game, this should reset any connection errors.
  • Check to see if there are any problems with the Dying Light 2 servers, perhaps on the official Twitter feed. If the servers are down, then it’s just a matter of waiting for them to return.
  • Check to make sure there are no problems with the internet by going online in other apps, games, or a browser window. Restart the system if there are issues, and check the connection.

If all these have been tried and players are still getting a “network disconnected” error then it is simply a matter of waiting for Techland to fix the problem. There have been reported issues with the co-op servers since launch, but the good news is that Techland is aware of the problem and is working on a co-op disconnection fix for Dying Light 2. With any luck, it should roll into the game very soon.
