Read on for the Wordle 320 answer.
What is the Wordle answer 320? (May 5, 2022)
The Wordle answer 320 is “HOMER.”
Note: If NYT decides to skip this word, then the answer will instead be “BADGE.”
“HOMER” is a noun that means “a home run” in baseball, “a homing pigeon,” or “a referee or official who is thought to favor the team playing at home.” As a verb, it means “hit a home run” in baseball. (Definitions from Oxford Languages)
“HOMER” is a tough word to work out because many players won’t be familiar with the word, outside of The Simpsons at least. Those in the US will have an easier time with this one, as baseball is a very popular sport there. Thankfully, there are no duplicate letters compounding the difficulty. The “O” and “E” vowels should be found fairly easily and the remaining consonants aren’t too uncommon, so players will hopefully work it out with their six guesses.
Those finding it tough to guess the right answer should try using all of the available guesses to knock out as many letters as possible. So long as you aren’t playing on Hard Mode, which forces players to use confirmed guesses in all of the subsequent attempts, it’s best to use each new guess to eliminate as many potential letters as possible.
