Are There Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes Romance Options?

If you’re wondering what the Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes romance options may be, you’re not alone. The ability to romance characters in the main Fire Emblem series has been one of the draws for the franchise since Awakening on 3DS (there was a Love System even before that in the series). Fans have had plenty of time to form relationships with the characters from Three Houses, and as many of them are in the roster for this Musou spinoff Three Hopes, it’s a good question as to whether your relationship progress might carry over or if you have to start from scratch.

Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes Romance Options

Sadly, there are no options for marriage or romance in Three Hopes. And unfortunately, it follows that you won’t be able to transfer any of your romances from Three Houses over.

The best you can do in the game is form platonic, friendly relationships with the likes of Edelgard or Dimitri (sorry, Byleth fans, she’s the antagonist this time around). You can go as far as reaching A-rank supports for many characters, as opposed to the S-rank supports in other Fire Emblem games.  Sometimes you’ll get special dialogue sequences that hint at possible feelings between cast members, which may give you a clue for future developments in later games that feature the cast. But don’t expect these hints to have any actual impact on the story or gameplay.

If you have the Merc Whistle, you can hand it over to another character that has a high enough support rank, but the reward is just a special accessory. While Three Hopes does allow for Partner Specials that makes it possible for two characters to attack together, that’s pretty much as far as it goes for relationship building as far as gameplay mechanics. So if you’re more invested in forming romances and securing marriages, it’s best to return to Three Houses instead.

In other news, Pokemon Snap has been added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription, and Disney’s live-action Hercules will be directed by Guy Ritchie.
