Modern Warfare 2 2022 Quickscoping: Are Snipers Getting Nerfed?

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 2022 quickscoping debate is already beginning, with players on both sides of the argument wondering whether or not the new Call of Duty will have quickscoping. The ability to zoom in quickly and snipe opponents at even extremely close ranges has long been debated and the topic has grown very controversial among Call of Duty fans. Here is what we know so far about quickscoping being nerfed in Modern Warfare 2 2022.

Can you quickscope in Modern Warfare 2 2022?

It’s not yet known whether Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 2022 will have quickscoping.

At the time of writing, developer Infinity Ward hasn’t yet revealed anything about sniper rifle gameplay. However, it’s estimated that the sequel to Modern Warfare 2019 will have similar sniping mechanics, so fans of sniping in that game would be pleased.

Will snipers be nerfed in Modern Warfare 2 2022?

Sniper rifles are expected to be just as powerful in Modern Warfare 2 2022 as they have been in past CoD games.

Though it hasn’t yet been officially confirmed, Call of Duty snipers have long been capable of dishing out one-hit kills for those who can shoot accurately. It’s a risk and reward system that many players have grown fond of.

While fire-power is unlikely to be drastically weakened, the scope-in time could well be increased. This would make sniping at closer rangers much more difficult.

With that said, Infinity Ward is responsible for the games where the quickscoping trend took off. The original Modern Warfare 2 had arguably the fastest quickscoping speed in the franchise’s history, especially when players utilized the Slight of Hand Pro perk.
