Gundam Evolution Release Date on PS5, PS4, and Xbox

Gundam Evolution was released on September 21 for PC, but console players may be wondering when they can get their hands on the free-to-play team-based first-person shooter. Gundam Evolution will be coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, and here’s our guide for when exactly that release date will be.

When is Gundam Evolution released on PS5, PS4, and Xbox?

Gundam Evolution

Gundam Evolution was released at 7PM PDT on PC, meaning some regions got the game on September 21 while others got the game on September 22. Bandai Namco is using the method for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, although they haven’t specified an exact launch time for consoles. This means the regional release dates for Gundam Evolution on consoles are:

November 30

  • Canada
  • United States

December 1

  • Austria
  • Denmark
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Switzerland
  • United Kingdom

The game was also released on PC in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand, but these regions will not be getting a console release.

Gundam Evolution will launch with a roster of 17 mobile suits from across the Gundam multiverse, each with its own offensive, defensive, and supportive skills, as well as different HP levels. Of those units, 12 will be playable from launch on December 1, such as RX-78-2 GUNDAM and ASW-G-08 GUNDAM BARBATOS, with players needing to unlock the other five units. This can be done by using Capital Points earned through gameplay or by using EVO Coins paid for with real-life currency. Matches will take place in a 6v6 format across three game modes: Point Capture, Domination, and Destruction.

Since the game’s launch on PC, players have suffered with issues that prevent normal play, such as sudden disconnection while playing the game and crashes, leading to bans from matchmaking through no fault of their own. Bandai Namco has promised they’re “conducting continuous research and improvement in development” and “will do our best to fix these issues”. Players are being urged to keep an eye on the game’s bug information page for the latest information on these issues.
