Hogwarts Legacy DLC Plans: Are New Spells and Quidditch on the Roadmap?

Hogwarts Legacy‘s DLC plans are a mystery for now, as developer Avalanche Software has yet to reveal any details about post-launch expansions of content drops. At the time of writing, the studio has just launched the game and is no doubt prioritizing work on patches to fix issues that cropped up during release. Then there’s the matter of the Nintendo Switch version to polish up and launch.

Will Hogwarts Legacy get new content and DLC?

Hogwarts Legacy’s first bit of DLC was contained within the Deluxe and Collector’s Edition versions of the game, where buyers got some extra buffs and cosmetic upgrades.

Future Hogwarts Legacy content hasn’t yet been confirmed, but the game’s community manager, Chandler Wood, did tweet that the game will not contain microtransactions.

Even though the game features many shopfronts and the potential to add microtransactions through a premium currency, the developer doesn’t plan to include this. Therefore, if there is post-launch content, it will most likely be a paid-for expansion that will add additional missions to the game, perhaps will new spells.

As for Quidditch, it’s unlikely that players will see the broomstick sport in Hogwarts Legacy. With that said, stranger things have happened and an expansion could add it to the game.
