The Last of Us on HBO continues to impress audiences, and now that we are over halfway through the debut season of the show, based on the critically-acclaimed video game of the same name by Naughty Dog, fans are wondering exactly when they will be able to stream and watch the next one. Here is what we know about The Last of Us HBO Episode 7, including its release date and time.
What is the release date and time for The Last of Us Episode 7 on HBO Max?
The Last of Us Episode 7 remains in its regular slot and will be released on HBO Max and broadcast on HBO in the United States on Sunday, February 26, 2023. In the U.K., the episode will air on Sky Atlantic, and be available to stream on NOW for those who have an Entertainment Pass, on Monday, February 27, 2023.
The local time at which you will be able to watch the new episode depends entirely on where you are in the world. With that in mind, here is the release time in various time zones:
- 6 p.m. Pacific Time
- 7 p.m. Mountain Time
- 8 p.m. Central Time
- 9 p.m. Eastern Time
- 2 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time (UK time)
Episode 7 is called “Left Behind,” which could be a bad omen following the dramatic conclusion to Episode 6. Exactly who or what is being “left behind” remains to be seen, but there is one clear candidate when the sixth installment in the HBO Max series wraps up. Of course, that could be a red herring, and the episode title could refer to something else entirely.
Fans of The Last of Us video game will know that there was a DLC for the original, also called “Left Behind.” If this is to coincide with that, we may be about to deal with a hugely emotional backstory for Ellie. Strap in.
The new episode will be directed by Liza Johnson, with Neil Druckmann serving as writer. It is the only episode in the series so far that Druckmann, who also acts as the Co-President of Naughty Dog, has written alone.
