Like the original, the Resident Evil 4 remake is packed with easter eggs and secrets. While these won’t affect your gameplay, they are a great incentive to explore everything the game offers. However, finding them all yourself is challenging, so we’ve gathered a list of every easter egg in Resident Evil 4 and where to find them, from the Lake Monster through to Classic dialogue, the throne pose, and more.
How to find all the Easter Eggs in Resident Evil 4 Remake
Even if you’re familiar with the easter eggs from the original game, some new ones were added to the RE4 remake.
Easter Egg | How to find it |
---|---|
Lake Monster | Before you fight Del Lago in Chapter 3, save your game, then fire into the water from the dock. |
Classic dialogue | Check your trophy descriptions to see the dialogue that didn’t make it into the remake. |
Throne Pose | A returning classic, sit on Saddler’s throne in the castle to receive a special message from the game. |
Killer 7 weapon | This weapon is a reference to Capcom’s Killer 7 game. |
El Gigante’s childhood notes | After defeating El Gigante, head back to the paddock to discover stories about raising the creature. |
Shooting Gallery music | The music in the shooting gallery is the same played in the original game’s opening scene. |
Title screen voiceover | You must purchase and enable the OST to trigger this easter egg. Once enabled, the title screen will have a voiceover from the original game. |
Salazar Statue | The giant statue is not in the remake, but smaller versions are available as collectibles. There’s one per chapter, each making a squeaky noise to help track them down. |
Ashley’s unlocking comment | In Chapter 16, Ashley references the “master of unlocking” line from Resident Evil 1 when asked to open a door. |
Joseph Kendo | The SG-09 R handgun has the name of Resident Evil 3’s gun shop owner engraved on the back. |
Chicago Sweeper dance | Equip the Chicago Sweeper weapon and pinstripe suit, then reload your weapon. Leon will perform a unique animation. Reload a few times in quick succession to trigger a different one. |
