The Division Heartland beta playtest is arriving soon, but how to play and register for the closed test can be confusing. There also isn’t a lot of information about the upcoming beta, though Ubisoft and developer Red Storm Entertainment did share some details in the Division Day livestream on April 20. Here’s what we know so far about how to get into The Division Heartland playtest on PC.
How to play and register for The Division Heartland beta
For a chance to play The Division Heartland beta, you need to register for it on the game’s official website near the bottom of the page. You will need to create an Ubisoft account if you don’t already have one.
If you are not selected for the beta, you can fortunately still enter it by nabbing a code. Players who are selected for the beta will receive five extra codes that they can use to invite their friends or others into the playtest. So you may be able to nab one of these codes from various game forums, Reddit, and other places on social media.
A very important note for beta registration: We recommend that you select PC when the site asks you about which platform you want to register for in terms of future playtests for the game. You will be able to select PC via Ubisoft Connect, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4. (By the way, this suggests that a beta test for consoles is also in the schedule.)
The livestream, however, specifically highlights the “PC closed beta” for The Division Heartland. So it’s highly likely that the developer will be releasing a playtest for PC first before consoles, in case you want the chance to play the beta before anyone else.
The beta dates for the playtest have not been revealed yet. All the info the livestream gives on this is that we will need to wait until this summer for more details.
