Players are searching for an Archaic Warm Tunic or Helm in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Most armor in the game comes in sets comprised of three parts: a tunic, greaves, and a helm. So, it makes sense that there would be an Archaic Warm Set waiting to be found. However, that’s not the case.
Is there an Archaic Warm Tunic location in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
Those searching for the location of the Archaic Warm Tunic in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will come up empty-handed. The Archaic Warm Greaves are one of the standalone armor pieces in the game and isn’t part of a set.
Even though there’s not an Archaic Warm Tunic or Helm, the Archaic Warm Greaves can pair up with other cold-resistant armor to increase your defense against chilly weather. It adds one bar of cold resistance, so you can pair it with the Snowquil Headdress or Tunic to get two or three bars total. This is helpful early on if you decide to tackle the Wind Temple as your first dungeon, as there are areas where one bar just won’t cut it.
Strangely, we haven’t found a headpiece for the Archaic Set. You can count the Archaic Warm Greaves as an alternate to the Archaic Legwear, and there’s the Archaic Tunic, but there’s no head armor in the set. This makes it one of the few outfits in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that bucks the trend of either being a full three-piece set or standalone gear.
One of the few criticisms Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has received is that it reuses many of the armor sets from Breath of the Wild and doesn’t introduce enough original outfits. Getting a whole Archaic Warm Set would have been nice, but that’s not the case. Perhaps we’ll see a tunic in a DLC, but for now you’re stuck with the greaves.
