The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Decorate With Passion side quest has a tricky solution, because the quest-giver is rather vague about what she wants. At the Kara Kara Bazaar near the entrance of the Gerudo Desert in TotK, a Gerudo named Boraa wants to craft a weapon with specific traits and is looking to Link for inspiration. You’ll need to present her with a weapon that meets several requirements. It needs to sparkle, radiate with burning passion, and not use any ugly monster parts. Here’s how to solve the Decorate With Passion quest in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
What is the solution to the Decorate With Passion quest?
The solution to the Decorate With Passion quest is presenting Boraa with a weapon that is fused with a ruby.
As a gemstone, the ruby satisfies the “sparkle” part and its deep red coloration encapsulates “burning passion,” to Boraa at least. The type of weapon doesn’t seem to matter here, so we suggest just using any throwaway sword or spear of your choice. Of course, you can always fuse the ruby with something stronger if you were going to upgrade a particular weapon anyway.
If you don’t already have a ruby in your inventory at this point, you can find some as random drops from rare ore deposits all around Hyrule. For specific locations, you can try the Puffer Beach Overhead Cave or some caverns near the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. Either way, we recommend keeping gemstones instead of selling them, unless you’re really strapped for rupees.
After presenting the ruby-fused weapon to Boraa, the quest will complete and she will in turn reward Link with an Electric Keese Wing. It’s not a stunning reward, but it can be used to add electricity damage to a weapon, turned into an elixir, or used as an ingredient for yellow dye. Trying to hunt down Electric Keese is also tough, since the monster is quite rare even around Gerudo Desert where it spawns the most.
