Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Critical Role One Shot Air Date & Time

The Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Critical Role one shot will be airing soon, and we’ve got a reminder of the episode’s air date and time. Nintendo has become a recent sponsor of the latest episodes of Critical Role‘s third campaign, specifically episode 59 that’s available on YouTube. Sam Riegel did a hilarious ad piece at the start of that episode for TotK with him acting as a Link cosplayer. Matt Mercer also formally announced the special one shot live on air and shared some of his personal experience playing the game during the usual break in the middle of the episode. Here’s when the Critical Role one shot for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be shown.

What is the air date and time for the Critical Role Zelda one shot?

The Critical Role Zelda one shot will air on Tuesday, May 30 at 7pm PT on its usual Twitch and YouTube channels.

You don’t have to worry if you miss it, though. It will most likely be available on Twitch right after it airs, and will be on YouTube afterwards, if not immediately.

This Zelda one shot, sponsored by Nintendo of America, will feature Matt Mercer as the dungeon master and players Liam O’Brien, Marisha Ray, Robbie Daymond, Omar Najam, and Emily Axford. To make sure that the show will not spoiler anything from the game, the story and the characters will be based on their original creation. They will simply be inspired by elements of The Legend of Zelda, according to a tweet from Critical Role.

It’s unclear how long this one shot will be, but if it’s anything like their past episodes featuring video games like the Elden Ring One-Shot: O Ye of Little Faith, it will likely be about four hours long. We’re also not sure if this Tears of the Kingdom collaboration will use Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition as a base or be an extension of the new system made by Darrington Press as found in Illuminated Worlds.

Either way, the Zelda one shot will likely be heavily homebrewed by Mercer. I hope that all of the characters’ health are in heart containers, that all gold pieces are turned into rupees, and that we have an wide array of Zelda races represented, like Zora, Goron, Rito, and others.
