Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Red Lynel Locations

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Red Lynel Locations & Coordinates List

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Red Lynel locations are spread throughout Hyrule and The Depths, but they can be difficult to find if you’re trying to look for them specifically. Fortunately, we’ve got a handy list of coordinates for where you can locate Red Lynels so that you can farm them for armor upgrade materials. Also, compared to their Blue, White, and Silver counterparts in TotK, the Red Lynels will be the easiest to defeat among their brethren, though they’re dangerous and can deal high damage if you don’t have their attack patterns down. Here’s where Red Lynels will spawn in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Where are the Red Lynel locations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

The following is a list of coordinates for seven Red Lynel locations in Hyrule:

  • North Akkala Valley, East of Death Mountain – Cooddinates 3728, 2915, 0034
  • Western Hyrule Ridge or Northern Gerudo Highlands – -3395, 0009, 0090
  • Northern Hyrule Ridge near Tanegar Canyon – -2156, 1516, 0217
  • West Hyrule Plains – -1590, 0133, 0113
  • West of Floating Coliseum in The Depths – -1440, -1305, -0490
  • South of Plains Bargainer Statue in The Depths – 0120, -1182, -0470
  • Floating Coliseum in The Depths – -1142, -1122, -0452

We have to note that the last set of coordinates on that list is part of a side quest where you can potentially earn the Majora’s Mask helmet after defeating a Red Lynel and all the other colored-mane Lynels. So that’s not really a location for farming Lynel material resources.

Apart from finding Lynel Saber Horn and Lynel Mace Horn drops, for the purpose of upgrading various armor sets like the Barbarian set, defeating Red Lynels is important for getting other Lynels to appear. We’re unsure of how many Red Lynels you’ll need to slay, but it seems like Blue Lynels, White Lynels, and Silver Lynels will only begin spawning after the blood moon appears once a certain number of Red Lynels are defeated. This isn’t a bad thing either since you’ll need specific resources from those Lynels too to upgrade certain equipment fully.
