You’ll need to find Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4 to upgrade to the Light Healing Potion. These materials are used to craft other items, but their most important use is upgrading your potion because otherwise, you’ll be stuck with Minor Healing Potions, which will be a huge impediment when you start climbing to higher levels. Fortunately, you can find Crushed Beast Bone locations throughout Sanctuary.
Where to find Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4
Predictably, you can get Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4 by killing beasts. Foes like werewolves, bears, beasts, and the like all have a chance to drop Crushed Beast Bones. Many players will have already farmed the amount they need before they hit level 30 and unlock the ability to upgrade to the Light Healing Potion. However, if you are unlucky, you may find yourself without a single bone when you need them.
In addition to dropping from werebeast and wildlife-type creatures, you can find Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4 in some chests. In particular, we’ve seen players point toward the Flooded Mine cellar south of Kyovashad as a place to farm these materials. Fortunately, if you come up empty-handed your first time through, it only takes a few minutes for the area to reset, and you can try again.
If you want to farm them through combat, you can head northeast of Kyovashad. You’ll visit this area during Act 2, and it’s full of beast-type creatures which have a chance of dropping Crushed Beast Bones. Larger animals reportedly have a higher drop rate, which could be confirmation bias. Persistence and patience are key in these farming attempts.
It requires a total of 5 Crushed Beast Bones, along with 20 Gallowvine, 10 Biteberry, and 470 Gold, to upgrade to the Light Healing Potion. This upgrade becomes available once you hit level 30. Beyond potions, Crushed Beast Bones also play a part in various Elixir recipes and other late-game items, thus making them an essential resource for any adventurer.
By diligently following these strategies, you’ll collect enough Crushed Beast Bones for potion upgrades and crafting other valuable items in your Diablo 4 journey. The path may be strenuous, but the rewards are well worth the effort.
