Final Fantasy 16 All Bark Choice Option

Final Fantasy 16 All Bark Choice: Who Should I Choose as Clive’s Master?

The Final Fantasy 16 All Bark choice is giving many players pause. Near the end of the FF16 All Bark quest, Clive is given the option to respond to an NPC in one of two ways. We won’t spoil anything now, but fair warning that we will be providing a breakdown of each choice after the break. Here is whether or not the wretch option in the Final Fantasy 16 All Bark side quest makes any difference.

Does the Final Fantasy 16 All Bark choice make a difference?

The only difference that the Final Fantasy 16 All Bark choice makes is the dialogue. It will not impact the reward Clive receives at the end of the side quest.

In the All Bark mission, Clive is asked by a nobleman named Benoit by a house in the semi-open world near Moore that his son is about to be attacked by a wolf. Clive defeats the wolf, but figures out that it’s all a ruse and that Benoit is just trying to mistreat Branded humans as playthings for his and his son’s amusement.

Benoit then tries to ask who the “unlucky wretch” that Clive answers to. You can have Clive respond with either “That ‘wretch’ would be the Dame.” or “That ‘wretch” would be me.” This choice will not change the reward of 30 Magicked Ash, but it will have a minor impact on the nobleman’s response to you.

Of course, mentioning the Dame will put him offguard while saying the “wretch” is Clive will make Benoit annoyed with the Branded. But nothing will change in terms of the state of the world, so you don’t have to worry about choosing wrong.

That said, it’s heavily implied that something terrible happens to the nobleman and that you know who the potential murderer is. Whether you think this is justified or not is up to you, but Clive will move on either way.
