The Exoprimal Monster Hunter release date has been revealed by Capcom. The Exoprimal x Monster Hunter crossover was revealed during the July 10 Exoprimal Showcase as a surprise reveal during the roadmap segment of the presentation. The collaboration was featured as the second major crossover for the dino survival action game after the Exoprimal Street Fighter 6 event. Here’s what we know so far about when the Exoprimal Monster Hunter collab will be arriving.
What is the Exoprimal Monster Hunter release date?
The Exoprimal Monster Hunter release date will be January 2024.
This crossover coincides with the release of Exoprimal Season 3. The Monster Hunter collab may not occur right at the start of Season 3 as the presentation stated that it would happen “during” the season. The press release for the upcoming roadmap for the game also states that is “part of Season 3.”
Capcom has scheduled Season 3 to come with Beta variant Exosuits that will put a spin on the primary Alpha versions of the suits. The Neo Triceratops will also appear in the game, most likely as a Raid given the footage during the Exoprimal Showcase.
It’s unclear what the Exoprimal Monster Hunter crossover will be about, but our best guess would be that it will introduce various bosses from the Monster Hunter series into the fold. Capcom has a lot of iconic Monster Hunter dinosaur monsters to choose from for this upcoming collaboration, including the Anjanath which is pretty much a T-Rex and the Rathalos that is essentially a giant pterodactyl. But there’s no reason why the developer couldn’t insert some of the most fantastical, dragon-like monsters like Raizekusu and Gore Magal as extra hard bosses in Exoprimal.
GameRevolution spoke earlier with the Exoprimal developers on their plans for replayability, the game’s release on Xbox Game Pass, and how it pitched the idea of a new IP to Capcom.
