A persistent Diablo 4 Gore-Soaked Barricade bug is making it difficult for players to complete the Fury Against Fate quest. There are already issues with this quest, particularly with getting the NPC Ealda and her companions to follow you in clearing out the cannibal feeding ground. This barricade glitch is a related but separate issue, where gate seems to have infinite health and doesn’t break no matter what you do. Fortunately, there’s a workaround for this bug that’s a little strange, but many users state that it works. Here’s how to break through the gore-soaked barricade in Diablo 4.
How to fix Diablo 4 Gore-Soaked Barricade
To break through the Diablo 4 gore-soaked barricade in the Fury Against Fate quest, here are some steps you can follow to fix the issue:
- In the settings, set the game in a windowed or borderless window mode.
- Put the maximum background FPS to 1 FPS.
- Head outside of the cave and relog, heading out of the game and then back in
- Go into the cave entry and tab out. This will force the cave to load at a low frame rate.
- Head down, start the conversation with Ealda and her companions, and then tab out again.
- While the game is the background, listen to their conversation. Then tab back in and continue the quest.
This should make the gore-soaked barricade breakable. Specifically, this barricade needs to be destroyed by Ealda and can’t be smashed by you.
In fact, if you find that the barricade has a health bar, it means that the assets in the cave have loaded in too quickly. For some reason or another, something is off with how the gate is added into the scene. That’s why this 1 FPS solution, and other solutions that involve forcing latency into the game like joining a server with a very high ping, apparently works.
All told, it’s a strange workaround, but Blizzard has yet to patch this problem despite players reporting the issue close to the game’s launch. Sadly, there are many Diablo 4 bugs like this, like the Grinning Labyrinth bug and the Conceited aspect not working.
