One of the best places to find gallowvine is at the Windswept Cabin near the Eastern Pass. As a reminder, especially if you choose to skip the campaign, this is the cabin where you meet Lorath early in the main story. You’ll also find quite a lot of gallowvine just by exploring the areas around Kyovashad. Sinner’s Pass and Serac Rapture are also good regions to explore.

You’ll still find gallowvine pretty much everywhere on the map, but this fairly common herb prefers either cold climates and wooded areas. That is, it doesn’t like to grow in the hot, arid deserts of the Dry Steppes or Kehjistan, nor the swampy wetlands of Hawezar. That’s all well and good really since you’ll need gallowvine in the starting areas more often than not.

While you can find gallowvine in reward caches for completing quests and even create gallowvine from other herbs at the alchemist, it’s best just to explore the overworld of Scosglen and Forgotten Peaks on foot. If you’re in a rush, you can also mount a horse and scurry past all the mobs to collect gallowvine, in addition to chests and ore nodes. All it really takes is some diligence while exploring the world and you’ll get all the gallowvine you’ll really need in a short amount of time.
