The Remnant 2 Plasma Cutter is a powerful weapon that some players say is missing or not spawning. It’s a bug that seems to occur randomly, and it’s unclear what triggers this glitch. Players have gotten the Navigator’s Helm and all of the necessary items in N’Erud to unlock the door that leads to the Plasma Cutter. But they find that the chest that’s supposed to contain the weapon is simply empty. Here’s are some solutions you can try to fix this Plasma Cutter bug in Remnant 2.
How to fix missing Remnant 2 Plasma Cutter bug
To fix the missing Plasma Weapon bug, you can re-roll the N’Erud world either in campaign or adventure mode, and then hope that the Plasma Cutter reappears.
It must be noted that re-rolling the N’Erud world may or may not make the Plasma Cutter spawn. However, some players report that doing this multiple times has made the weapon appear in the chest at the right location. It’s frustrating that you have to find the Navigation Room over and over again in the broken-down alien ship. But the Plasma Cutter is a powerful enough weapon, especially in the early game, that it’s worth re-rolling as many times as you need to grab it.
We’re not sure at the moment if this Plasma Cutter glitch is intended or not. It could be that the weapon intentionally has a hidden drop rate, but that’s probably not the case given that there aren’t a lot of instances of empty chests reported by players throughout the game. If it’s indeed a bug, we can only hope that it has been brought to developer Gunfire Games’ attention so that they can repair it in a later patch or hotfix.
