The Blasphemous 2 alternate ending, like many other things in this action platformer, is drenched in mystery. It’s unclear how to unlock it at first and requires that players understand some of the items that they hold. However, it’s still not too difficult to attain and just takes a little bit of intuition. Here’s how to get Ending A in Blasphemous 2.
How to get the alternate ending in Blasphemous 2
To get the alternate ending in Blasphemous 2, you need to position some of the altarpiece statues in your inventory in a certain way. While difficult to discern at a glance, the four in question are the ones with gold cloths around them: Cierzo, Lebeche, Gregal, and Jaloque. Their golden cloths are important, as well how they are gesturing.
Go into your inventory at Prie Dieu altar and arrange them in a way where they are all pointing in the center. This means that Cierzo is the top left quadrant on the inside, Gregal is in the top right quadrant in the innermost position, Lebeche is in the third quadrant in the innermost position, and Jaloque is in the fourth quadrant in the innermost position. The above picture shows their correct position, and they’ll glow gold when they’re in the right spot.
From there, go to the Chapel of the Five Doves, which is the brown segment of the map nestled in the Elevated Temples. Go to the top of the room near where the doves were and go to the room on the right. It should be open.
If you have the statues in the correct order, there will be a new interaction prompt near the fire. Interact with it to get a new item called Incense of the Envoys. Take it and then go try to beat the game using the door on the left in the Chapel of the Five Doves to get to the top of Crimson Rains.
Once you get to the room before the final boss fight, the game will ask you if you want to use the Incense of the Envoys before you ascend. If you use the Incense of the Envoys and then beat the boss, you’ll be treated to a different cutscene and Ending A.
You do not have to worry about locking yourself out of the two endings. The game kicks you out to just before the right either way. You can always choose to not use the Incense of the Envoys to get Ending B again. This is in stark contrast to the first game where Ending B was easily missable if players didn’t get Ending A first.
