Seeing the Karasawa and Moonlight Sword in Armored Core 6 would likely make a lot of FromSoftware fans happy, given the history of those two items. But patterns do not guarantee anything. Here’s whether or not the Moonlight Blade and Karasawa are in Armored Core 6.
Can you find the Moonlight Sword in Armored Core 6?
The Moonlight Blade is indeed in Armored Core 6. To get the Moonlight Blade, reach the end of the fourth chapter to unlock “Reach the Coral Convergence.” After taking out the first few enemies in that mission, go across on the bridge to fight some more enemies. Go to the end of the bridge (the one that is broken and curved upward) and jump down to the left to fight some more enemies. They are protecting the chest the blade is in (it has a red blinking light on it). Be sure to finish the mission to keep the weapon.
This legendary armament has been in almost every FromSoftware game since 1994’s King’s Field. It has notably showed up in the Dark Souls series as Moonlight Greatsword, Holy Moonlight Sword in Bloodborne, and Dark Moon Greatsword in Elden Ring (there is also the Moonlight Greatsword skill in that game, too). This has translated to the Armored Core series, as well, as it is the Moonlight laser blade in that series. It has been in every Armored Core game.
Can you find the Karasawa in Armored Core 6?
The Karasawa is technically in Armored Core 6, but it goes by a different name. It is called the KRSV here and has a normal firing mode as well as the ability to shoot charged blasts. It can only be obtained in New Game Plus.
Past iterations of the weapon have also not been referred to directly as the Karasawa. It was the KRSW in Armored Core: Nexus and CANOPUS in Armored Core 4.
The Karasawa, with its many names, isn’t quite as ubiquitous as the Moonlight Blade, but it has quite a history with the Armored Core series. It is named after first game’s producer, Yasuyoshi Karasawa, and is loosely based on the Composite Positron Rifle from Neon Genesis Evangelion.
