Mortal Kombat 1 24th Character: Who is in the Final Slot?

Mortal Kombat 1 24th Character: Who is the Missing Fighter in the Final Slot?

Mortal Kombat 1 has a decently sized roster of characters from throughout the series’ history. It’s got classic staples like Sub-Zero, fighters from the 3D era like Li Mei and Reiko, as well as Geras, who made his debut in Mortal Kombat 11. However, there is a 24th character slot in Mortal Kombat 1 that is left blank, and it’s not clear who it is. There’s also a similar blank slot in the Kameo roster. Here’s what we know about who these missing characters are in Mortal Kombat 1.

Who is the missing character in Mortal Kombat 1?

Mortal Kombat 1 24th Character: Who is in the Final Slot?

It is currently unclear who the 24th character is in Mortal Kombat 1. The slot is currently just a silhouette with a plus sign in it. There is also an “empty” slot just like this on the Kameo screen.

These slots do not unlock after clearing the story mode (Havik is the reward for beating the campaign). They are not something you can level up to unlock. They are also not characters that are currently on the store. The random character selector is just on one of the face buttons, so it isn’t what these mystery slots are for. We have reached out to Warner Bros. for clarification and we will update this guide with its answer.

More Mortal Kombat 1

It is very possible that these are where the first DLC characters are going to go. The first main roster slot seems like it will go to Omni-Man from Invincible. Series co-creator Ed Boon noted that Omni-Man would be coming out within the first few weeks of the game’s release, so this could be NetherRealm Studios making room for the characters a little early.

While the Mortal Kombat games are often full of secrets that can take days or weeks to decipher, these are very likely not secret fighters that have stayed hidden.
