The My Hero Ultra Rumble crossplay release date is something fans across all platforms want to know. At the moment, cross-platform multiplayer is restricted to the same family of consoles, so PC players can’t play with those on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox console owners can’t interact with one another either, which is very limited given that MHUR is an online battle royale game with 32 players. There are some indications within the game menus that point to crossplay being released eventually. Here’s what we know so far about a potential release date for cross-platform play for My Hero Ultra Rumble in the future.
What is the My Hero Ultra Rumble release date?
Bandai Namco and developer ByKing has not provided a crossplay release date for My Hero Ultra Rumble.
The reason why many players suspect that cross-platforming play will arrive eventually is because there is a distinction in the game between in-game friends and platform friends. A classification like this is typically seen for games with crossplay. However, there has been no confirmation from the developer on when this feature will arrive, if at all. The official Season 1 info doesn’t mention anything about crossplay.
Likewise, there is no cross-progression or cross-save feature across platforms either. Hopefully, if crossplay is released for the game, this feature will also come along for the ride.
For the moment, though, it may be a good thing that there’s no crossplay. This is because of reports by users saying there may be some hackers and cheaters plaguing the game on PC. The extent of this problem is unclear at this point, but if true, the developer will want to ensure that there is some anti-cheat software so that any potential crossplay feature isn’t ruined by hacks that give cheaters god mode, infinite plus ultra moves, and aim assistance. Ultimately, if PC cheating gets too out of line, crossplay may be limited to console if it is included in a later patch.
