The list of MW3 beta best guns have changed slightly. The second weekend of the beta, where PC and Xbox players can finally join PlayStation players via crossplay, comes with a new patch from Activision and Sledgehammer Games. This has changed the damage output for some of the most popular weapons from the first weekend of the beta. Also note that many of the guns in the list will need to be unlocked through standard progression as you earn experience and level up your account profile. Here’s a tier list breakdown for all of the weapons in the Modern Warfare 3 beta for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
MW3 beta best guns tier list
The best guns currently available in the game have been sorted from S-tier (highest) to C-tier (lowest) in the tier list below:
- S-Tier
- MCW, Rival-9, MTZ-556, BAS-B
- A-Tier
- Striker, AMR9, MTZ-762, Riveter, SVA 545, KV Inhibitor
- B-Tier
- MTZ Interceptor, MCW 6.8, Longbow, Pulemyot 76, Holger 26, Renetti, WSP Swarm
- C-Tier
- Lockwood 680, WSP Stinger, PILA, COR-45
The Striker submachine gun was so dominant during the first weekend that Sledgehammer Games has decided to nerf its damage ranges and damage multipliers in the October 12 patch. It’s still very much a viable competitive weapon, but we’ve lowered the ranking from S to A for now.
Meanwhile, the MCW is fantastic due to its damage range and low recoil. The Rival-9 SMG is a versatile option that is both mobile and effective at mid-range. The MTZ-556 assault rifle is no slouch either, for being a great option for players at all skill levels with it being accurate at many ranges. If you’re looking for a specifically long-range assault rifle, though, the BAS-B is a solid pick.
