Pokemon Go can Xurkitree be shiny

Pokemon Go: Can Xurkitree be Shiny?

As Xurkitree makes its raid appearance this week in Pokemon Go, people can’t stop wondering if they may find a shiny form of the monster. Because it’s is so uncommon in the game, the idea of a shiny Xurkitree is especially alluring. In Pokemon Go, shiny forms are not always guaranteed, though, as many Pokemon were first introduced without their shining counterparts.

Is it possible to find Shiny Xurkitree in Pokemon Go?

Shiny Xurkitree is not currently available. Of course, some players may feel a little relieved by this, given the cost of the Remote Raid Passes usually needed to locate a shiny. You’re up to date for the time being if you’ve already gotten a few standard Xurkitrees. Niantic may release a shiny Xurkitree at some point, but that moment isn’t here quite yet.

The availability of Xurkitree in Pokemon Go:

With only a few appearances in the game, Xurkitree is an uncommon discovery in Pokemon Go:

  • A Radiant Reunion 4th Part: August 27, 2022
  • Ultra Beast Arrival: August 27, 2022 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Special Raid Challenge (Asia-Pacific): November 27, 2022

You can catch Xurkitree in Pokemon Go between January 1 and 10, 2024. Because it’s not available very often, you should take advantage of it before it’s gone!

Is Xurkitree a Pokemon?

Xurkitree, who originated from Pokemon Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon, belongs to the special class of Pokemon known as Ultra Beasts. These entities originate from Ultra Space and invade our planet via Ultra Wormholes. Distinguished from other wild Pokemon by their exceptional strength and unique look, Ultra Beasts are some of the most powerful creatures in the series.

Xurkitree’s Pokedex entry says the following:

“They’ve been dubbed Ultra Beasts. Some of them stand unmoving, like trees, with their arms and legs stuck into the ground.”

So, in the franchise’s lore, Xurkitree is recognized as a Pokemon even though it is an Ultra Beast.
