[Update] The Monopoly Go Gardening Partners event is now live! We still recommend that you wait until 7:00 AM PT for the new main event to start before rolling any dice, but you can start earning flower tokens early if you wish.
[Original] The Monopoly Go Gardening Partners co-op event is projected to arrive on January 8. The exact time is still not clear at the moment, but if it’s anything like prior partner events like Gift Partners, it will likely start at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM UTC. Either way, we recommend setting your alarm clocks for this one just in case. That said, all of the details here are subject to change and comes from datamined info (there have been rumors before that didn’t pan out), but we’ll update this guide with any new information we learn.
Gardening Partners is expected to work much like past co-op events, requiring you to form four separate partnerships with other players as you both accumulate points by spinning a wheel that uses event tokens. You can earn tokens by landing on them on the board, earning them through milestones in main events and tournaments, and getting a handful through Quick Wins, free gifts in the Shop, and perhaps a few free dice links too. The event will likely end in 5 days, stopping on January 14 (we’ll confirm the time closer to the event). Here are all the rewards and prizes you can earn in the Gardening Partners event for Monopoly Go.
What are the Monopoly Go Gardening Partners milestones and rewards?
There are five tiers of rewards for each of the four partnerships, and completing all of the partnerships will earn you the Grand Prize. Here’s how many points you need to accumulate for each tier:
- 2500 Event Points – 200 Free Dice Rolls
- 8500 Event Points – Cash
- 21500 Event Points – 250 Free Dice Rolls + Cash (in Blue Vault)
- 48000 Event Points – 10-Minute High Roller Boost + 400 Free Dice Rolls + 3-Star Pink Sticker Pack (in Purple Vault)
- 80000 Event Points – 500 Free Dice Rolls + Cash + 4-Star Blue Sticker Pack (in Green Top Prize Vault)
The Grand Prize for finishing every partnership is 5000 free dice rolls, a 5-star purple sticker pack, a dog emoji with retro sunglasses, and a green Garden Cat board token.
The general lack of purple sticker packs and Galaxy packs is likely due to the Monopoly Origins sticker album still being quite new. The album will last for three months, so we will likely see more partner events later on in February and March 2024, perhaps with better sticker packs as rewards.
That said, the High Roller bonus (we’re not sure if this is a 5-minute or 10-minute boost) is quite intriguing, as you can use this strategically to get through the milestones for main event and tournaments too.
We recommend that you reach out to prior partners that you trust before the Gardening Partners event starts. You can head to various Monopoly Go Discord communities as well to search for players who will either match you in point contribution (or 50/50) or carry you through the event as part of some trade. We’ve also broken down what the best multiplier to use for the wheel is in a prior guide.
Will there be a Winners Prize at the end of Gardening Partners?
We expect that the Winners Prize will not appear once you’re done with Gardening Partners.
For those who don’t know what this is, the Winners Prize is a post-game feature where players can continue to amass points and spin a wheel to gain extra prizes after they are done with the event. This was tested out in Portugal during the Christmas baking event, which many players were able to access through a VPN.
But while Winners Prize was a popular post-game feature that saw players earn thousands of extra dice and multiple Galaxy sticker packs, this did not appear during the follow-up Gift Partners event. It’s presumed that developer Scopely found the rewards to be too high and decided to scrap it for its intended release for Gift Partners. That said, we would be very pleasantly surprised to see it here, since the point of the Winners Prize is to give players something to do after they’re done with the event.
