Monopoly Go Lucky Chance Explained New Boost Cards

Monopoly Go Lucky Chance Cards Explained: What Is This New Event Boost?

The Monopoly Go Lucky Chance boost is a new flash event that has the potential to arrive soon. In November 2023, dataminers found references in the game files for Monopoly Go about Lucky Chance, but it didn’t materialize in any way. However, recent peeks into the files have revealed a lot more information and a detailed description of what Lucky Chance is about, suggesting that Scopely could finally be ready to deploy this new boost soon. As always, this is datamined information, so it is all subject to change and there’s no guarantee that Lucky Chance will appear. That said, here is what we know so far about the Lucky Chance boost for Monopoly Go.

What is the new Monopoly Go Lucky Chance boost?

The Monopoly Go Lucky Chance is described as a reoccurring boost that replaces the standard Chance deck with a new Lucky Chance deck for a limited time.

From the looks of it, this Lucky Chance boost is likely to appear in the rotation of daily boosts. We’re not sure yet if this boost will only last for 30 minutes or less and can be activated within a 3-hour window, or if it’s something more akin to Sticker Boom or Landmark Rush. We also don’t know if the Lucky Chance deck will fully replace the standard Chance deck or if the cards will merely be added in.

Here are some examples of the type of cards you can pull in the Lucky Chance deck:

  • Treasure Hunt Boost*: Here is a boost for your treasure hunt!

The Lucky Chance cards above marked by an asterisk (*) are said to be a part of “Version 2” of the cards. We’re not exactly sure what that means, but many of the effects for these cards are specific to various events, like the Treasure Hunt Boost for the digging mini-game and the Partner Gift during the co-op partner event. So these cards would seem like they will only appear for a limited time depending on what other events are happening in the game at the time. The same goes for the Peg-E’s Prize Drop and El Dorado Discovery cards that are meant for the Peg-E and digging mini-games.

We imagine that the Magic Dice Trick card will be something similar to a temporary High Roller boost or some kind of temporary increase to any dice gains you might receive during a limited time. The Business Boost is a bit of wild card in terms of it does, but it sounds like it may bestow something similar to a Cash Boost.

How will the dice multiplier impact Monopoly Go Lucky Chance cards?

It will be interesting to see how some of these Lucky Chance cards will be impacted by the dice multiplier. It’s obvious how many of them will be impacted, like the Bank Heist, Bubble Roll Bath, and Money Rain Singing Contest.

But something like Briefcase of Stickers or Album Completion Assistance, both of which seem to provide stickers, is not as easily multiplied. We also hope that a higher multiplier will increase the amount of possibly extra Peg-E tokens and pickaxe tokens for Peg-E’s Prize Drop and Treasure Hunt Boost. As for Tax Trick Fails, this seems like a similar penalty to landing on Income Tax or Luxury Tax, and if it’s anything like those two spaces, your dice multiplier will not increase the amount of money you will lose.
