Finding Rooibos in Enshrouded can be tricky, but knowing where to look will save you tons of time and frustration. It is a crucial plant found exclusively in the late-game Nomad Highlands region. It serves two primary purposes: Flame Altar Upgrades and Spice Recipe.
Where to find Rooibos in Enshrouded
Rooibos is exclusive to the Nomad Highlands, a late-game area located on the far east of the map in Enshrouded, right before the Kindlewastes. Rooibos plays a vital role in upgrading your Flame Altar to level 5. This altar provides buffs and crafting options, so increasing its level unlocks significant benefits. While less prevalent, you can also use Rooibos in the Laboratory to craft the spice recipe.
While Rooibos can be found throughout the Nomad Highlands, specific areas hold clusters of plants, making them ideal for efficient farming. South of the Ancient Spire is a spot that has a dense concentration of Rooibos plants, perfect for quickly gathering a large quantity. The Eastern side of Umber Hollow is another location with numerous Rooibos plants close together, conveniently situated along your exploration path. Northwest and west of the Spire, near the fossilized skeleton area exploration can also reveal several scattered Rooibos plants.
Keep an eye out for tall, green bushes with distinctive Green foliage and Yellow flowers. Look for plants with vibrant green leaves. Prioritize plants with small yellow flowers, as they yield 3 Rooibos each compared to 1 from non-flowering ones.
While farming in the Nomad Highlands be prepared for danger. The Highlands can be challenging, so bring appropriate gear and be ready for encounters with enemies like hyenas and scorpions. Once you have some Rooibos, you can grow your own! Use the Seedbed and combine 1 Rooibos with 1 Water and 1 Fossilized Bone Dust to get 5 Rooibos Seedlings. Farming is an easier method to guarantee a consistent collection of Rooibos in Enshrouded.
